CHOIR

Our St. Joseph Parish Choir is led by Mr. William Coble (Director of Music & Liturgy).

The Choir blends singing voices of our parish family to enhance the worship experience.


ENVIRONMENT & ARTS

The St. Joseph Environment & Art Committee is a group of talented parishioners who help to create and implement the church décor for each liturgical season.

During the mass, in our church, the encounter between the divine and the human takes place in the liturgy.
The care with which we prepare the environment is already an indication of the appreciation we have for what takes during the mass.

All our parish family is invited and encouraged to help.


EXTRAORDINARY MINISTERS OF HOLY COMMUNION

Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion serve the Body and Blood of Christ at our St. Joseph Saturday and Sunday Masses.

 WOMEN’S MINISTRY HALO LADIES

The St. Joseph Halo Ladies have now begun their second ministry year. Our women of St. Joseph share faith and fellowship as they gather together to discuss relevant, important topics in order to further their knowledge of our Catholic faith.

All the women of St. Joseph Dyer are invited to join our Halo Ladies Women’s Ministry.
We currently have ladies in our ministry that are from other parishes and we encourage and welcome all ladies of faith who are interested in joining us. y.

The Halo Ladies meet the second Tuesday of each month in our parish Gathering Room from 6:30 to 8 pm.


HELPING HANDS FOOD PANTRY

Our St. Joseph Helping Hands Food Pantry helps collect, pack and distribute food to those less fortunate in our Dyer community every month.

The Helping Hands Food Pantry distributes groceries to those in need every third Wednesday of the month from 10 am to Noon and from 6 pm to 7 pm.


ST. JOSEPH DYER OUTREACH MINISTRY

Our St. Joseph Helping Hands Outreach began this past October.

If you need assistance from this ministry, please call 219-440-7126.

Simply leave your name and phone number and our ministry will return your phone call within 24 hours.


HOMEBOUND MINISTRY

The Homebound Ministry mission is to visit our St. Joseph parishioners that are unable to get out as they may be home or in a local nursing home. Our ministry members take Holy Communion to these parishioners.

St. Joseph Parish will provide the necessary training for this ministry.

LAWN CREW

Our St. Joseph Lawn crew mows and trims all the lawn around our church, rectory, school and cemetery.

Volunteers are always most welcome.


LECTORS

Our St. Joseph parish Lectors proclaim the Word of God at our Saturday and Sunday Masses.


MEN’S MINISTRY

Our Men’s Ministry has now entered into its fourth year, bringing the Men of St. Joseph together in prayer, the sacraments and in brotherhood, opening themselves to encountering our Lord Jesus and being transformed into the Men God has created them to be.

Our Men’s Ministry meets every third Saturday of the month. Each month begins with Mass at 8 am, breakfast, and a presentation followed by discussion and final prayer.

We hope that all the men of St. Joseph will consider being a part of this ministry.


PARISH LIFE MINISTRY

The mission of this ministry is to plan and execute parish events that will bring our parish family together in order to spread the joy of living our faith and to promote an atmosphere of vibrant Catholic life at St. Joseph.

The time, talents and the assistance of everyone is needed to bring our parish together in faith and fellowship.


PASTORAL COUNCIL

The St. Joseph Parish Pastoral Council has been newly formed and meets on the second Monday of every month.

Our Parish Pastoral Council is presently assisting Fr. Peter Muha in implementing the Diocesan Synod initiative of fulfilling our baptismal call in becoming Missionary Disciples.

The Pastoral Council strives to not only implement the Diocesan Synod initiative, but our St. Joseph Parish Mission as well.

PRO LIFE MINISTRY

Our St. Joseph Pro Life Ministry provides our parish family with relevant information pertaining to parish and local pro life events.

Our mission is to support and defend the sanctity of all life … from conception to  natural end of life.


TUESDAY GOSPEL REFLECTION GROUP

We meet every Tuesday morning immediately after our 9 am Mass in our Gathering Room.

Come join our St. Joseph Parish Family for a prayerful reflection and discussion of that day’s gospel.

All our parish family is invited to attend.


USHERS

Our St. Joseph Parish Ushers greet and guide our parishioners in church, take up the Sunday collection and distribute our  Sunday weekly bulletin.
